There are additional costs to consider when buying so be sure to take into account the following:-

• Lifting and Launching fees
• Surveyors costs
• Mooring and Storage Fees
• Admin fees particularly if the vessel you are buying is a registered boat
• Boat Safety Scheme Certification BSS (Required on all British Waterways)
• Insurance
• Waterways Licenses
• And probably most importantly running costs i.e. Fuel, servicing, winterisation etc ,these are difficult to estimate so do your homework and take as much advice as possible from us, fellow boaters and the boating press.
