| York Marina is based on the non tidal stretch of the River Ouse 4 miles south of York. It is situated only a short distance from Naburn locks with many miles of safe scenic waterways - North to Ripon, and for the more adventurous the southern waterways and canal systems of the River Aire, Leeds-Liverpool Canal, Sheffield and South Yorkshire Canals, River Trent, Foss Dyke and Witham. The tidal Ouse will take you down the Humber, North Sea and beyond! |
| The Marina serves boaters from all over the UK with superb road access, being located just 5 minutes drive off the A64 making the Marina easily accessible via the M1 A1 link to the North and South. The City centre of York is just 10 minutes away with Leeds, Harrogate, Wetherby and the East coast all reachable within 60 minutes. The nearest mainline railway is the East coast mainline running to Middlesborough and Edinborough in the North and Peterborough and London to the South, Kings cross can be reached in just 2 hours. Should you wish to travel by air Leeds and Bradford Airport is just 60 minutes away. |
