Frequently check our website and listings in the Marina office and discuss your requirements with our sales staff. If we don’t have what you’re looking for at the time be sure to leave us your contact details, we have boats coming and going all the time. If you can’t find what your looking for check out the links on this page.
-
Ask for the full specifications on the particular vessels you like the look of, this will likely narrow your search down further. Ask our sales staff to show you onboard, you are welcome to view anything and everything.
-
Once you have decided make your offer to a member of staff, this is usually a process of negotiation with the vendor and is subject to survey and trials.
-
Place a fully refundable deposit with us to secure the vessel. This then holds the boat in your name. If you are not happy at any stage you will receive your deposit back less the Marina’s lift out fees.
-
Arrange a river trial, then a survey. Occasionally the surveyor will find an issue with the boat which may entail necessary repairs. If this is the case the asking price of the vessel may be re-negotiated or it is down to the vendor to remedy the issues before you progress with the purchase.
-
Once final negotiations have taken place the next step is to finalise payment to us (the broker) either in full settlement or by Marine Loan / Mortgage which can be organised through us.
-
We, as broker, then complete the necessary paperwork, transfer of ownership, insurance, moorings etc.
-
Upon completion you will be given a handover on the vessel by our staff (and possibly the previous owner). This usually means basic engine checks and procedures, what the switches and controls operate etc. (Please note a handover is not tuition; if you are new to boating we offer basic boat handling and mooring training sessions. Please contact us for prices and further information)
